When I was a young girl, instead of dressing Barbies, I designed her dream house. I’ve always been intrigued with the details that define the character of a home, creating spaces that invite and inspire you. Your home should tell a cohesive story—your story—and I love to learn about my clients’ stories and interpret what excites them into the homes they live in.
My journey in interior design started when I was young, and blossomed throughout my college study in design, my internships, and jobs with talented designers who broadened my skills and knowledge of design. I learned space planning, historical styles, and design theories at Endicott College, where I earned my CIDA accredited design degree. Learning from amazing designers like Vicente Wolf and Nick Calder of Calder Design Group helped me understand the design process from concept through installation and all the intricate steps in between that make the final product truly thought out and complete. I’ve translated that knowledge with my own eclectic style that mixes old and new with a balance of color, textures, and materials.
I launched my own firm, Samantha Blake Designs, in 2019 after 13 years in the industry. My first successful projects included a condo in Long Beach, a house in Windsor Hills, and a townhouse in Greenpoint, NY. I’m excited for all the inspiring projects to come.
